Voiron, “Everest” of badminton – Actors of sport

The urban area of Voiron, in Isère, acquired in 2017 a room almost exclusively dedicated to badminton, in an activity zone specializing in sport and leisure. The financial balance remains to be found, but the club is developing… As is the reputation of this territory.

In Badiste circles, the Salle Everest in Voiron, in Isère, is almost as well known as its mountain namesake. This equipment is one of the few in France to be dedicated to badminton, almost 100%, since it is only occasionally also used for basketball (with a removable floor). Its ground is thus traced only from the nine badminton courts and is two-tone, which makes the shuttlecock more visible. The lighting is designed to avoid glare, and the air treatment excludes any disturbance to the trajectory of the steering wheels.
