TV rights – Amazon and NFL extend broadcast partnership from 2020

Today, the NFL and Amazon formalized the signing of a new multi-year contract (3 years according to CNBC) concerning the broadcasting of matches from the 2020 season.

In detail, Amazon but also the Twitch platform will continue to broadcast Thursday Night Football (TNF) matches also broadcast on FOX, 11 in total.

More than a simple renewal of the previous contract (Amazon has been broadcasting NFL since 2017), Amazon has also acquired a worldwide exclusive regular season game for Prime Video and Twitch. The relevant match will be played on Saturday during the second half of the championship. An encounter NFL streamed worldwide which will however be available on TV on the local markets of the two teams concerned.
