It took five months before the last stage of the 42nd Critérium Allan Sport could take place, postponed because of the Covid-19. A final stage organized at the Tennis Club Bois de la Cambre which exceeded all expectations for Alain Allan.
“We had enormous success, with 20 to 30% more participants than usual. The enthusiasm was incredible,” he tells us.
What motivate him to indeed organize a 43rd edition.
“I thought that the pandemic was going to put an end to this Critérium, that I was going to ignore this 43rd edition but there is so much enthusiasm that it gives me the energy to continue. To see this fervor persist at the end of time for years, seeing people go by but the enthusiasm remaining, it warms my heart. “
A 43rd edition which will however have fewer stages than usual.
“There will only be seven categories instead of 15 but the categories remain the same. Regarding the ranking, we will take the best three results of the seven stages to obtain the winners.”
An appointment is therefore made for the beginning of October and a first stage organized at the Euro TC St Josse.
