KOMPAS.com – Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, gave a warning to Liverpool as the 2020-2021 Premier League starts.
Liverpool last season successfully lifted the Premier League trophy (the top caste of the Premier League) with an 18 point advantage.
They were then wanted to be able to defend the Premier League’s crown.
Kevin De Bruyne, who has won the Premier League title in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons, reminded him of the difficulty of defending the title.
According to De Bruyne, the personal factors of each player will also affect the team’s efforts to defend the title.

“It (defending the title) is very difficult. The competition is more difficult than we expected,” said Kevin De Bruyne as quoted from Daily Mail.
“Mentally, sometimes it’s more difficult. Some teams are a little more focused on beating you. Sometimes, some people find it more difficult after winning to get the same feeling again.”
“It’s very difficult to recreate the same feelings even with the same team,” said De Bruyne.
“There are personal things that happen. Every little thing can change you. Injuries can change you. Football is about circumstances and it’s quite difficult to win titles, let alone twice,” said the Belgian midfielder.
However, Kevin De Bruyne also believes Liverpool will experience the same good fortune as Manchester City two seasons ago.
He believes that Juergen Klopp’s team is able to maintain its level this season.
“I think they (Liverpool) can reach that level again. I don’t think you need to change the team to get the same feeling or ambition,” he said.

“Sometimes when you win something, you feel you are still lacking. Sometimes, it can give you a bigger hunger. So, let’s see,” said Kevin De Bruyne.
Meanwhile, Liverpool started the 2020-2021 English League with a victory over Leeds United.
The duel which took place at Anfield Stadium, Saturday (12/9/2020) evening WIB, ended with a score of 4-3.
Meanwhile, Manchester City will only start the 2020-2021 Premier League on Monday (21/9/2020) or Tuesday (22/9) in the morning WIB.
Man City are supposed to face Aston Villa on Saturday (12/09/2020).
However, the match had to be postponed because Man City got a longer holiday after undergoing European competition which ended in August 2020.
