Persib Bandung Players Fall, Kim Kurniawan Cracked Ribs

Bandung

Bad news came from Persib Bandung ahead of the launch of Shopee Liga 1 2020. Several players fell due to injuries, and Kim Kurniawan’s ribs cracked.

The cause of Kim Kurniawan’s pain was finally revealed from the results of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations. Apparently, the German-Indonesian player suffered a fracture in his back rib.

The rib fracture allegedly occurred when the former Persipasi Bandung Raya (PBR) was practicing three weeks ago. He got a collision from his fellow teammates.

“He complained about the pain and spoke with the team doctor for an examination at that time,” said Persib coach, Robert Rene Alberts, in a virtual conference on Tuesday (15/9).

However, said Robert, Kim’s fracture was not so severe. He is optimistic that in the next two weeks, Kim can recover even though he cannot immediately participate in the Persib match.

“Not because this fracture made him unable to participate in training. There is pain when breathing, so I think Kim is not ready to be deployed for the first match (against Madura United). But after 2 to 3 matches, he can return to playing,” he said. Robert.

Apart from Kim, another Persib player, Gian Zola, is also not fit. He has medical problems in his leg.

“Zola today suffered an injury, sprained his ankle and he also had to be out for ten days,” said the Dutchman.

But for the older brother of footballer Beckham Putra, Robert predicts he can recover before the league starts.

Previously, goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam and midfielder Esteban Vizcarra had injured injuries during a training session with Persib. However, Robert ensures that his players are in better condition.
