The Broncos have officially signed one of the club’s favorite sons in Kevin Walters to take the lead as head coach in 2021 after beating Paul Green to the coveted position.
The Courier Mail reported that Walters will land a two-year, $ 1 million deal starting in 2021 after signing a deal at 10 p.m. Tuesday night to replace Anthony Seibold.
Walters has also backed plans for Storm super manager Craig Bellamy, who is slated to join him as the club’s manager in 2022 when his Melbourne contract expires.

TRANSFER WHISPERS: The expansion team wants Storm Star and Broncos Bird to pay
While agreeing to the Broncos deal, Walters confirmed that he has resigned as coach of Queensland Origin.
Walters texted Maroon’s players Tuesday night to inform them of his decision.
The Broncos will officially announce Walters’ signature on Wednesday afternoon.
As speculated prior to his battle for the role at Paul Green, Walters will hire a star-studded coaching staff to help bring the club back into shape after the worst season ever.
The Broncos only won three games to secure a historic wooden spoon. The club wanted to change Walters more than Anthony Seibold.
