Greenwood, who scored 17 goals in his breakthrough season at Old Trafford to earn his first call-up for senior England, will move up from number 26 he sported in 2019/20.
The Bradford-born striker will instead wear the cape of the number 11, a shirt that is, of course, synonymous with United’s all-time attendance record Ryan Giggs.
Greenwood will become only the fourth red to wear the number 11 in the Premier League era, after Giggs, Adnan Januzaj and Anthony Martial, who returned to show off the number 9 last summer following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
