Manchester United are confident to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, but it may have to wait until next summer, according to reports.
Sancho remains a priority target for United as they are set to seal their first window transfer with Donny van de Beek landing from Ajax.
MEN Sport understands that United has not yet found a solution to Sancho’s salary expectations and agents’ fees during talks with his representative Emeka Obasi and intermediary Marco Lichtsteiner, who acts on behalf of Dortmund.
Dortmund are adamant Sancho will stay in Germany for at least another season and has made more statements to the press confirming his position.
However, Italian transfer expert Gabriele Marcotti believes United are confident Sancho will move to Old Trafford and are ready to wait 12 months for the transfer to materialize.
“Man Utd has a price they are willing to go to and if it isn’t this summer they are confident they will get it next summer,” said Marcotti. ESPN FC.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave the club after a successful loan spell with AS Roma.
Everton and Newcastle have been linked with the former England international and Corriere dello Sport reports that the United defender has turned down offers from Premier League clubs because he only wants to return to Roma.
He adds that an agreement between the two clubs will be reached in the coming days as Smalling is actively pushing for the move.
