Manchester City Ready to ‘Share’ Messi with New York City FC

Jakarta

To be able to hook Lionel Messi, Manchester City has a special strategy involving a ‘sister club’, New York City FC. They are ready to ‘share’ Messi.

As reported Football EspanaIn this strategy, Messi will be rewarded with a salary package of 500-550 million pounds (Rp. 9.71 – Rp. 10.6 trillion) within the duration of a five-year contract.

The five-year duration itself, according to the report Sports Diary, Lionel Messi will live in two different clubs. Initially with Man City in the Premier League, then followed by New York City FC in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Three of the five-year contract for the 33-year Argentine superstar will be spent with Manchester City. At the Premier League club, Lionel Messi will get an annual salary of 100 million pounds.

After three years, Messi will get a bonus of 250 million pounds ahead of his move to MLS. La Pulga then spent the last two years, from the duration of his five-year contract, with New York City FC.

The projection appears to be designed with the assumption that Lionel Messi can be brought off from Barcelona in the summer of 2020. This is because the five-year contract will expire in 2025, when Messi is approaching the age of 39, aka retirement.

The projection also seems to assume that Messi can indeed walk away from Barcelona this summer, according to the footballer’s claim regarding a clause that still allows him to be free to leave the Catalan club in the summer.

So far, Barcelona itself seems to be trying to counter these claims. Moreover, Lionel Messi has confirmed that he still has a contract until next year, with a buyout / release clause of 700 million euros.

The excitement of Lionel Messi vs Barcelona itself has made the LaLiga authorities also emphasize that the club that is interested in this summer must be able to fulfill this nominal.

Lionel Messi’s future at Barcelona has been the subject of speculation in recent times. He reportedly submitted a formal request to leave. Manchester City, which is handled by Pep Guardiola, the former Messi coach at Barca, is reportedly one of the strong candidates.
