Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara laughed at the speculation about his future after Spain’s draw against Germany.

The 29-year-old was in action when Luis Enrique’s side hit back from a goal to score a late point against Joachim Low’s men.

Thiago will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer after telling the Bundesliga club that he won’t sign a contract extension for his current contract, which will expire next summer.

Liverpool had led the race for the former Barcelona midfielder and Thiago has had talks with Jurgen Klopp about a move to Anfield.

The Reds’ reluctance to meet the £ 27million prize for Bayern has opened the door to Manchester United, who are looking to sign Thiago seven years after his last move to Old Trafford.

After the draw in Spain, Thiago said he was focused on the next game against Ukraine and Munich was his “home”.

‘I’m just thinking about the game against Ukraine. Then we’ll see, ”said Thiago.

“Bavaria is my home and I am happy to be there.”

Thiago was then asked directly if his choice was between Liverpool and Manchester United but replied with a smile before saying “ciao” and walking away.

Despite his warm words about life in Germany, Thiago expects to leave the Allianz Arena this summer and it is likely that his future will be in motion after Spain’s game against Ukraine on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp has been told he must sell before he can buy again this summer and Gini Wijnaldum’s departure to Barcelona could enable the German to wish to sign Thiago.

Klopp wants to keep Wijnaldum, but the Dutchman has yet to sign a contract extension that expires next summer.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is keen to sign the 29-year-old and he would get a fee similar to the £ 27million Bayern are charging for Thiago.
