Gabriel’s influence of Luiz and Pepe
Gabriel Magalhaes revealed how David Luiz and Nicolas Pepe convinced him to join Arsenal.
The Brazilian has some close friends at Arsenal, including compatriot Luiz and former Lille team-mate Pepe, who both convinced him to join the Gunners.
“David is certainly an example, he’s a player I admire very much,” Gabriel told Arsenal Digital.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of him and everything he has accomplished.
“I’ve been watching him since I was a kid, playing video games with his character and today it’s a dream come true to be here with him and we hope to play next to him soon.
“It’s always nice to have Brazilian players in the club to welcome me, it’s very important to me.
“I don’t speak English very well and I will try to learn as quickly as possible.
“Nicolas Pepe is also a good friend of mine, David also sent me a message and welcomed me, this is very important for me and makes me very happy”.
