The club, whose next home game is scheduled for September 27 against Nice, is the first to give up hosting the public this season. The Nice had made a similar decision, but only for their first game against Lens.
A very restrictive limit of 1000
At national level, professional sports clubs have the right to accommodate a maximum of 5,000 people on match days, except for a derogation which has not yet been granted for any Ligue 1 match.
But the prefect of the Gironde Fabienne Buccio decided on Monday, faced with the deterioration of the health situation in his department, to lower this gauge to 1000 people.
