Valerijs Habarčiks, Dodo and Mārtiņš Ķigurs scored the goal.

Meanwhile, “Metta” in the previous round with a draw against Jūrmala “Spartak” stopped a series of four losses, but the Rigans have not celebrated the victory since August 11, when they won the latter “Tukums 2000” / TSS.
“Liepāja” needs victory in the fight for the first four, while “Metta” footballers need points to get out of the playoffs.

Also on Sunday, the Ventspils debutants “Tukums 2000” / TSS beat “Ventspils” at home with 2: 0, but “Jelgava” beat “Daugavpils” with their result 2: 0.
After 20 rounds of games, the first place in the tournament table with 54 points is taken by “Riga”, which is six points ahead of RFS. 35 points are for “Valmiera”, 30 points – for “Ventspils”, 29 – for “Liepāja”, 28 – for “Spartak”. “Jelgava” is further with 18 points, but “Daugavpils” and “Metta” have accumulated 16 points each, while “Tukums 2000” / TSS has reached five points.
This season, ten teams will start in the Super League, which is one more than last year and two more than yesterday. Also, this season in the Super League, the legionnaire limit has been raised to eight players. This means that there must be at least three players prepared for the association on the court at the same time. Last year, the limit was five foreign players.
As in many other countries, the number of permitted substitutions has been increased from three to five after the coronavirus break in the regulations of the Premier League championship in the 2020 season.
Due to the three-month forced break, three will be played instead of the four planned laps this season.
Last year, “Riga” was crowned Latvian champion, but RFS won its first trophy in the history of the club, which won the national cup.
