Fantasy Basketball Picks: Best DFS DraftKings NBA Goals, September 5th values

Saturdays features a slate of two games starting at 6:30 PM ET. The action kicks off with Game 4 between Raptors and Celtics, with Toronto trying to equalize that series after snatching Game 3 from the buzzer.

After that, the Clippers will face the Nuggets at 9pm ET, with Los Angeles looking to gain a massive lead in the 2-0 series.

Let’s take a look at some of the best pins and values in each position DraftKings.

Point Guard

Pin

Kyle Lowry, TOR @ BOS, $ 7,800 – Lowry is coming off a monstrous workload in Game 3 vs. the Celtics. He played 46.5 minutes in a regulation match, which is nearly impossible in 2020. He responded with 54.0 DKFP and averaged 1.14 DKFP per minute this season. He may not play 46.5 minutes again, but it feels like a block to play more than 40 as long as the game remains competitive. That makes Lowry one of the best values on the list at just $ 7,800.

Other options – Kemba Walker ($ 8,000)

Value

Patrick Beverley, LAC vs. DEN, $ 3,600 – Beverley returned to the Clippers rotation in the last game after missing each of the last five games with a calf injury. He was severely limited in that game – he only played 12.2 minutes – but it’s possible he could have played more in the second half if that game had remained competitive. In any case, today he should consider a higher workload even if it will remain on a limit of minutes.

Beverley still managed to score 19.0 DKFP in his last game, which would make him quite a game with his current salary. Overall, Beverley averaged DKFP 1.20 per minute over the past month, so she doesn’t need a lot of playtime to rack up fancy points.

Other options – Mount Morris ($ 4,100)

Armed guard

Fred VanVleet, TOR @ BOS, $ 7,700 – VanVleet struggled with his shot in this series. He only shot 33.3% from the field and 27.8% from three-point range, but that didn’t stop him from putting up a huge volume of shooting attempts in the first three games. He led the Raptors with a 30.3% utilization rate in Game 3, so he has a monstrous advantage if his jump shot starts dropping.

Other options – Paul George ($ 8,200), Jaylen Brown ($ 7,600)

Value

Gary Harris, DEN @ LAC, $ 4,000 – Harris is still relaunched in the Nuggets rotation, but it’s hard to find someone with such a low price and comparable minute projection on today’s list. He could see a 30-minute boost if this match remains competitive, and Harris has historically averaged DKFP 23.83 when playing between 28 and 32 minutes. That would make it a solid option at just $ 4,000.

Other options – Marcus Smart ($ 6,500), Torrey Craig ($ 3,600)

Small forward

Kawhi Leonard, LAC vs DEN, $ 10,400 – The only thing that managed to stop Leonard during the playoffs was a blast. He scored at least DKFP 50.75 in each of his first six playoff games before “wrestling” at just DKFP 41.5 in 32 minutes in his last game. Leonard played closer to 40 minutes during the playoffs, so he could have easily eclipsed another 50 minutes if his last game was more competitive. Overall, Leonard averages DKFP 1.50 per minute this season, making him the most productive player on the list on a per minute basis. Perhaps the Clippers will also run away with today’s race – they are currently 9.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook – but Leonard still has the highest roof, median and floor of all of today’s options.

Other options – None

Value

And Anunoby, TOR @ BOS, $ 5,600 – Anunoby played the hero in the Raptors game 3 win. He drained a three-point win when time ran out after the Celtics made the curious decision to leave him fully open.

Anunoby was also excellent from a fantasy point of view during the postseason. He surpassed his salary-based scoring expectations in each of his first seven games and scored at least 32.25 DKFP in his last two. It got more expensive on DraftKings for today’s match, but still looks solid value given the expected volume.

Other options – Michael Porter Jr. ($ 5,100), Marcus Morris ($ 5,400)

Direct power

Pin

Pascal Siakam, TOR @ BOS, $ 7,900 Siakam has been a mess in this series so far, making it an excellent buy-low opportunity. He is still playing plenty of minutes for the Raptors but has only shot 36.2% from the field and 18.2% from three points. Buying bass on talented players like Siakam is almost always a good idea and I expect better performance from him in the future.

Other options – Jayson Tatum ($ 9,300)

Value

Daniel Theis, BOS vs TOR, $ 5,500 – Theis has been a constant producer for the Celtics during the playoffs and has scored at least 25.5 DKFP in three of his last four games. This includes each of his first two games against the Raptors before a slightly disappointing effort in Game 3. Theis averages DKFP 1.00 per minute this season and is expected to see around 30 minutes in Game 4.

Other options – Paul Millsap ($ 4,600)

Center

Pin

Nikola Jokic, DEN @ LAC, $ 9,500 – Jokic is the only real stallion option to consider in the middle position today, but he didn’t really play like a stallion during the playoffs. His minutes ran out, which saved him from being a complete disaster, but his production per minute dropped to just 1.27 DKFP per minute. It’s bad for a player of his caliber.

The Nuggets’ bout went more from Jamal Murray ($ 9,100) than Jokic during the playoffs, which limited his ability to hoard peripherals. Jokic is a triple-double night threat, but he doesn’t seem to have as many advantages as he used to. It should still be the highest scoring center on today’s list, but I am proceeding with caution.

Other options – None

Value

Ivica Zubac, LAC vs. DEN, $ 4,800 – Fortunately, there are some strong value options to consider in the central location. It starts with Zubac, who has the potential to play a little more than usual given this match against the Nuggets. Zubac has been very productive on a per-minute basis this season (1.15 DKFP per minute), so any additional playtime would be huge for his fantasy value.

Other options – Montrezl Harrell ($ 4,300), Robert Williams ($ 3,800)
