To anticipate potential departures in attack, Olympique Lyonnais thinks of Islam Slimani. An approach would have been carried out to attract the former Monegasque.

Olympique Lyonnais begins to activate on the transfer market. The Rhone club is on the verge of making two young South Americans to strengthen its attacking sector, in this case Lucas Paqueta and Facundo Pellistri, and for the post of attacker the Lyonnais have also just identified a new target. According to RMC Sport, they covet the Algerian Islam Slimani.

Leicester are ready to release Slimani

Slimani played last year at AS Monaco, where he stood out with a very prolific Ligue 1 campaign (9 goals and 7 assists). But, once the exercise was over he had to return to Leicester City where he still has a year of contract. The Foxes are not counting on him, however, and there would therefore be a possibility of closing a deal if the OL board is persuasive enough. The player is in any case willing to come and strengthen the ranks of one of the best teams in Ligue 1.

The arrival of Slimani is however conditioned on the departure of an attacker. Several players are still likely to move to Les Gones (Aouar, Dembélé, Depay, Reine-Adélaïde) and Jean-Michel Aulas has given them until next Friday in order to find a new drop-off point. If there is a transfer, Lyon will therefore definitely go on the offensive for the 2019 African champion.
