49ers on the 2019 roster who may not be on the 2020 roster

The 49ers wanted continuity in the offseason, and they have it most of the time. Their starting lineups on both sides of football will only feature a few new starters. However, that doesn’t mean that every returning player is a lock in making the squad. We’ve been there and found five members of last year’s 49ers squad whose roster is not locked for this season.

There is a chance that each of the players will make the final roster. In fact, four of the five are on our last screening of 53 players. However, here are the five names to watch from last year’s roster who might not be with the club this year:

Wilson carved out a short-range role when the 49ers backfielder suffered a few injuries last year, and he made his way onto the field for a snap and winning touchdown in Week 11 against the Cardinals. While the former undrafted free agent is valuable on an NFL roster, the 49ers can choose to keep just three running backs, or keep undrafted rookie JaMycal Hasty on Wilson.
