What we learned on day three of Seattle Seahawks training camp

For a third straight day Friday, the Seahawks were on the field training after a long period of field work. Friday marked the first day attack and defense could clash and the penultimate day of helmets and shells. Saturday is a day off for Seattle, before the last day of light fieldwork Sunday. Come Monday, padded practices can begin.

Here’s a recap of everything we learned from the Seahawks’ third day of fieldwork, as well as Tyler Lockett’s pre-workout media session.

After a family member dealt with COVID-19, Lockett considered not participating in the 2020 season.

Rashaad Penny, who wasn’t even in Seattle at the start of camp – a clear sign of a delayed start to the season – was in attendance on Friday.

Jarran reed left training early and didn’t return, a nervous sign for a team that relies a lot on their defensive tackle.

Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta gave more details on what caused Reed’s departure, as well as a disturbing update on Reed’s defensive tackle, Poona Ford.

After Reed’s release, sophomore Christmas Demarcus switched to the first unit, suggesting that it is the current backup of 3-tech.

Quinton Dunbar, who was on track to make his training debut on Friday, failed. With a day off on Saturday, Dunbar is expected to join the team on Sunday.

KJ Wright missed training on Friday, with a first-round pick Jordyn brooks taking his place next to Bobby wagner.
