There was no “fight of the night” at UFC Vegas 6, but four fighters were still being given additional $ 50,000 checks for “performance of the night”.
Kevin Holland, Andrew Sanchez, Darren Stewart and Gavin Tucker received additional payment for the results of their respective bouts at UFC APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday. The UFC announced the bonuses after the ESPN + event.
Holland and Sanchez ended their respective opponents in a similar fashion, landing straight for the knockout. Holland hit UFC newcomer Joaquin Buckley twice and was stopped for the second time in the second round. Sanchez put Wellington Turman out with a one-two late in the first game.
Knocked out as a knockout artist, Stewart showed his skills with a first-round assist from Maki Pitolo, and Tucker went back and forth with Justin Jaynes in what looked like the strongest contender for “Fight of the Night” before Tucker contracted a third round submission.
