Trent Alexander-Arnold Best Young Player of Premier League 2019/2020

Trent Alexander-Arnold won the 2019/2020 Premier League Best Young Player award. The Liverpool defender outperformed three Manchester United players.

Alexander-Arnold was elected through voting by expert panelists and fans. For information, the players who are eligible to be nominated are those aged 23 years or younger when the 2019/2020 season starts.

Alexander-Arnold is one of the important pillars of Liverpool in winning the Premier League this season. The 21-year-old defender contributed 13 assists, only losing to Kevin de Bruyne.

He also always appeared in 38 Liverpool matches in the league. Alexander-Arnold helps The Reds recorded 12 clean sheets throughout the season.

Alexander-Arnold won this award by outperforming seven other candidates. Three of them are MU players, namely Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.

Other candidates are Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount (Chelsea), and Dean Henderson (Sheffield United). Jack Grealish is also included as a nominee after helping Aston Villa survive in the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold has the opportunity to win another award. He is also on the list of candidates for the 2019/2020 Premier League Player of the Year.
