Transfer Talk – Sergio Romero key to Jack Grealish’s move to Manchester United

The coronavirus pandemic has made the transfer market uncertain – and you can find out when the windows open here – but here are the rumors floating around in the big leagues in Europe and beyond.

Romero comes out to lure Grealish to Old Trafford

The rumors linking Manchester United to Aston Villa’s talisman Jack Grealish it just won’t go away, and now the Post is reporting that the Reds are looking to pitch to the Argentine national team Sergio Romero to help close the deal for the villain’s skipper.

Reserve goalkeeper Romero is desperate for more first-team football and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is equally eager to inject some fresh energy into his team’s midfield. The only task now is to convince Aston Villa, who is looking for a new goalkeeper, and Grealish himself, to ensure that all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Romero may still be in excess of the requirements at Old Trafford with Solskjaer keen to let Dean Henderson challenge David De Gea for first place. The United boss has been impressed with Henderson’s enthusiasm since returning from his loan spell at Sheffield United.

And with Villa eager to bolster their goalkeepers and Romero open to a move, he could placate any party. Grealish is becoming an increasingly crucial target for United, particularly with the ongoing negotiations Jadon Sancho becoming increasingly complex, ESPN’s Mark Ogden reported Wednesday.

Silva will play his last game with the Parisians when he attempts to keep Bayern Munich at bay in the Champions League final, and is set to suffer a substantial pay cut in an effort to secure his future away from the French capital.

Lampard made several signings to strengthen his team’s offensive skills, but now his next target is a defender.

Italian sides AC Milan and Fiorentina would also be interested in Silva’s services, but the Telegraph believes he would prefer a move to England.
