Transfer news LIVE: Thiago to Liverpool, Chelsea signings imminent, Barcelona exodus

Man Utd sent a forward transfer message

Manchester United don’t need to sign a new striker because of Anthony Martial, according to former defender Gary Pallister.

The Red Devils have reportedly not abandoned their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Jadon Sancho.

While they have also been linked to a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

They already boast a three-man talent from Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.

And Pallister said of Compare.bet [via Mirror] they don’t need another number 9, with: “To be honest with you, up until this season he didn’t seem like a forward, he was more of a threat from the wing. Sometimes he didn’t seem happy.

“It has been sensational since the season resumed. He scores goals, he is on the backs of the defenders, he makes great runs, he has a good ability on the ball to beat a man in the penalty area.

“If this continues, suddenly we are saying that we have a world-class center forward and that must be a fantastic feeling for Ole.”
