Sources – Mike Conley to clear the quarantine, start game 3 for Jazz

After returning to campus following the birth of his son, Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley Jr. is clearing quarantine on Friday morning and will be in line for match 3 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Denver Nuggets today, they say. ESPN sources.

Conley is expected to return as a starter with the 1-1 draw.

Conley missed Games 1 and 2 for Jazz after being away for the birth of his son, Elijah Michael, in Ohio on Monday. He returned to the Disney Wide World of Sports campus late Monday night and was cleared for a late Friday morning release after meeting the league’s testing protocols for the coronavirus, sources said.

Jazz resisted Conley’s absence, winning Game 2 on Wednesday after losing Game 1 in extra time. Utah lost their second top scorer, Bojan Bogdanovic, to hand surgery before shooting in Orlando.

Conley played some of his best basketballs of the season in seedling matches for the Jazz, averaging 18 points, five assists and three rebounds. Conley was a major acquisition through the off-season jazz trade from Memphis.
