Rosie O’Donnell she is wishing a happy birthday to her previously estranged daughter.
The actress and comedian shared a kind social media tribute to Chelsea O’Donnell.
“Happy 23rd Birthday Chelsea – I love you ♥,” Rosie captioned the post.
The image is a throwback photo of Chelsea holding her daughter, Skylar Rose, who she gave birth in 2018.
Chelsea confirmed the news of her pregnancy in June 2018 with boyfriend Jacob Bourassa.
“The loves of my life can’t wait to meet my little one”, Bourassa wrote on social media.
Rosie also confirmed the news at the time, adding that the couple had reunited after a difficult relationship.
“Yes, she’s pregnant. We’ve reconnected,” Rosie said, via a rep.
In December 2018, Rosie shared on Twitter that Chelsea had welcomed her first child, Skylar, by posting several photos of the newborn and his parents.
“Nana & Skylar #bigLOVE”, her caption a photo of her holding her grandson, while another showed Chelsea and Bourassa with baby Skylar.

The reconciliation between mother and daughter comes after years of estrangement. While participating as a guest-co-host in an episode of The speech, Rosie said she and adopted daughter Chelsea had forgiven each other.
“I think with my relationship with my daughter, Chelsea, it’s really like that, because we’ve been through some really tough times,” said the star. “She is better now and we are both communicating with each other.
“When someone does something unforgivable to you and you can forgive him and they can forgive you, there is a kind of grace that descends on both of them, within that.”
