ATP player advice is really important to players. The 12-member council represents all players and suggests decisions to the ATP directors. And now the council has Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as members and Novak Djokovic as president.
Federer and Nadal met on the board last year. And now having the Big 3 on the board could be a different experience for other players. Those three are one of the most decorated and celebrated players in history and therefore their influence will be unmatched.

Another board member Vasek Pospisil recently spoke about the presence of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic on the board. Pospisil recalled their first board meeting where he was sitting and arguing with the trio. He called it an extraordinary experience.
“It is a truly extraordinary experience. And I was actually sitting and it was me and to my left was Novak to my right Roger and then Nadal was right next to him. “ Pospisil said in ATP Tennis Radio Podcast.
He indicated that the trio work very well together and are strong characters. And because I’m one of the greatest athletes, Pospisil thinks it’s cool and the dynamics are very interesting.
“These are three amazing athletes to get involved in the council, with them it’s quite interesting and I think the dynamic is interesting because you have three strong individuals, they have strong opinions like all of us on the council”, Pospisil said
Now, these three are huge figures, so Pospisil recognized that it can be challenging. But because they are very open-minded, they work very well as a team.
“When you have three guys getting into the position they get into, it can be difficult, they work very well together, they are very open, Novak was amazing, I’ve spent most of my time with Novak since the day I walked in. Roger brought a different perspective when he arrived and he’s a super smart and very open minded guy so it was a very interesting experience. “ Pospisil said
With the experience and stature the trio brings, the other players will be happy that they represent their interests on the board.
