Reason Khabib Nurmagomedov Refuses to Underestimate Justin Gaethje

BOLASPORT.COM – The lightweight UFC fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov, said he did not want to underestimate Justin Gaethje, who will be his opponent at UFC 254, 24 October.

This attitude was taken by Khabib Nurmagomedov following Justin Gaethje’s success in breaking Tony Ferguson’s winning streak of 12.

Unexpectedly, Gaethje defeated Ferguson and won the UFC lightweight interim title.

Armed with that victory too, Gaethje got the opportunity to duel against Nurmagomedov, the owner of the UFC lightweight champion belt.

“He (Gaethje) is fighting and wants to be the best in the world, I respect his efforts,” said Nurmagomedov, quoted by BolaSport.com from Middle Easy.

“He has achieved a lot in this sport and I think he is a worthy opponent. You can see what he did to Tony Ferguson before. I do not underestimate him.”

“We will enter into the octagon, shake hands, fight and leave the area,” he added.

Apart from Justin Gaethje’s success in defeating Tony Ferguson, Khabib Nurmagomedov also has other reasons to respect.
