Pol Espargaró (KTM RC 16) dominated the first day of the Austrian MotoGP Grand Prix yesterday at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, which could well be said to have been halved due to the afternoon rain.
Espargaró set the fastest time of the day in the morning, running in 1: 24.193, while in the afternoon the fastest was Jack Miller (Ducati Desmosedici GP20), who at the end of the session did so in 1: 26.475.
Maverick Viñales was eleventh and if it rains today in the third free he will have to go through the ‘Q1. Another Girona native, Albert Arenas, in this case in Moto3, leader of the category, was also eleventh yesterday.
