Philippe Coutinho’s stance on Arsenal transfer as Willian ‘undergoes medical treatment’

Philippe Coutinho is fully focused on winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich, despite speculation about his future.

The Brazilian has been linked to the move to Arsenal, but the Gunners seem certain to sign Willian on a free transfer at the end of the month.

Willian confirmed on Sunday that he will leave Chelsea after seven years.

The Brazilian underwent a medical examination at Arsenal before writing down a three-year deal worth £ 150,000 a week, according to the Evening Standard.

Arsenal will have a chance to make this four if Willian proves to be a key first-team player in the coming seasons.

Arsenal are not selling like hot cakes this summer and have prioritized Willian’s purchase over Coutinho, believing the former was cheaper than his compatriot.

It is very unlikely that they will move for Coutinho.

But it seems the Brazilian isn’t worried about his future for the moment, as he has both eyes on winning a European title with Bayern.

The German giants defeated Chelsea with ease in the Champions League round of 16 and will now face Coutinho’s parent club Barcelona in the quarter-finals on Friday night.

Coutinho will return to Barcelona once the Champions League is over, and then decide what the future holds for him.

He prefers re-signing for a Premier League club, but his options are limited.
