D’Aversa will no longer be the Parma coach: the parties are negotiating the termination of the contract after some internal problems. Liverani, who has just left Lecce, will take his place on the bench
The recent problems emerged between the new sporting director Marcello Carli e Roberto D’Aversa led to the separation between the coach and the Parma. The parties are negotiating the consensual termination of the contract, then there will be the official announcement. It will come in its place Fabio Liverani, which in turn was exempted from Lecce last Thursday. Carli has always appreciated Liverani’s work and had already tried to bring him to Cagliari, without success. In the next few hours, therefore, the change of the technical guide will be formalized. A two-year contract with option for a third season is ready for the new Parma coach.
Twist in Lecce: Fabio Liverani exonerated
From one twist to another then. From the exemption with the Lecce for Liverani at the possible start of a new challenge driving the Parma. The Emilian club would no longer have noticed stimuli and enthusiasm on the part of D’Aversa, while the latter would not receive the guarantees he was looking for on building an even stronger team. This is the explanation of a divorce that will happen in the most natural way possible. Roberto D’Aversa arrived on the Parma bench on 3 December 2016, taking the team from Serie C to B via the playoffs. The following year a new winning ride, which saw the return to Serie A after the nightmare of failure. Finally, two rather quiet salvations.
