Paul Kent announced that Kevin Proctor and Shaun Johnson will face sanctions from the NRL for breaking justice rules ahead of the Titans Skipper’s hearing.
Proctor’s interview with The Courier Mail and Johnson’s Instagram post in defense of his Kiwi’s teammate both violated the rules of justice.
“It was a stupid move and he shouldn’t have said anything,” Kent said on NRL 360.

“He’s going to be fined Shaun Johnson tomorrow for what he posted on Instagram.
“It is a rule of the NRL that you cannot comment on the trial until after the hearing.
“As a key witness in this case, he has commented on Instagram and the NRL will punish him tomorrow.
“Kevin Proctor is also likely to face a fine for his newspaper story that claims he will fight to the death to prove he isn’t a biter.

“So, regardless of the result, both players will probably be a little easier tonight.”
However, according to Brent Read, who believes the Sharks playmaker’s defense directly contradicts Proctor’s defense, Johnson’s testimony might not matter much.
“I’m not sure how much it will help Kevin Proctor because Johnson said in an interview,“ What happens on the field stays on the field. ”So if I was the prosecutor I would ask Shaun Johnson, do you believe that yet?
“Johnson will say yes right away, what credibility is there for any evidence he gives?”
“It negates all of its evidence,” replied Kent.
