NEC would like to strengthen itself with two players from Jong FC Utrecht. Omroep Gelderland reports on Sunday that the Nijmegen club is interested in left back Gabriel Culhaci and midfielder Odysseus Velanas.
Culhaci would have to compete in Nijmegen with Souffian El Karouani, who was the permanent left back at NEC in the preparation. Culhaci is still fixed at Utrecht until mid-2023. If he comes to NEC, it will be a rental.
This seems to be the case with Velanas. The midfielder seems to be left out of the first selection and has to play at 10 at NEC. In the preparation it turned out that NEC misses a player there, although Thomas Beekman did well. Dirk Proper must focus more on one of the two places as an inspector.
Omroep Gelderland also reports that NEC would have inquired in vain at Utrecht about Nick Venema. The arrival of the attacker is not financially feasible.
