According to matching media reports, the world footballer has informed the Spanish club that he will not take the necessary corona test before training starts on Sunday. If Messi does not complete the test, he will not be allowed to start the pre-season together with the team on Monday.
Last Tuesday, Barcelona officially announced that Messi had told the club that he wanted to move. Since then, there has been a dispute over a clause with which Messi wants to terminate his contract, which runs until summer 2021. Barcelona are of the opinion that the clause expired on June 10th, the lawyers of the 33-year-old Argentine claim that the clause is valid because of the corona-related extended season.
There is a threat of a dispute in court, after all, it is about whether a possible new club will have to pay the fixed transfer fee of 700 million euros.
