Lyon forward Moussa Dembele is not ruling out a move in the summer transfer window due to Manchester United interest last year.
The 24-year-old striker was examined by United in 2019 as they drafted a shortlist of options to replace Romelu Lukaku which also included Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.
MEN Sport understands that the French forward has not ruled out the possibility of leaving Lyon this summer, although sources close to the player reiterate “he does not desperately need to move”.
Dembele showed his prowess on the big stage last week as he scored twice late to help Manchester City out of the Champions League, before starting Lyon’s semi-final defeat to Bayern Munich on the bench.
A possible move for Dembele is bolstered by the fact that he would rank as a homegrown talent due to his development at Fulham, while being seen as the ideal age for a new recruit for United this summer.
