Manchester United are interested in former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and other transfer rumors

Manchester United are one of three clubs interested in bringing Aaron Ramsey back to the Premier League this summer, according to reports.

Ramsey left England last summer after spending 11 years at Arsenal when he moved to Italian giants Juventus on a free transfer. However, the move did not go completely according to plan as the Welshman was a bit of a part player for the Old Lady and most of his appearances have come from the substitutes’ bench.

After their elimination from the Champions League, Juve’s new coach Andrea Pirlo is ready to select his team this summer and Ramsey is one of the many players who, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they are trying to flop to Premier League clubs.

It is argued that United, as well as West Ham and Crystal Palace, are interested in the midfielder but the Serie A champions would ask for 25 million euros to let him go, with his hefty salary also proving to be an obstacle to any departure.

While United were once looking to bring a midfielder to the club this summer in the form of Jude Bellingham, MEN Sport knows plans to strengthen in the middle of the park have been on hold until next year. Ramsey is also 29, which puts him out of the club’s ideal age range for new signings.

The report further states that United are interested in Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi. MEN Sport knows a loan move for Costa was recently considered by United, but interest has cooled since then as Bournemouth’s David Brooks is seen as a more attainable goal following the Cherries relegation.

Elsewhere, reports suggest United will miss out on signing Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes as the Brazilian moves to Arsenal.

The Times reports that the defender completed a medical examination with the Gunners this week and is ready to seal a passage to London in the coming days.

Various reports claim that United tried to hijack the deal at the last minute, but MEN Sport understands it wasn’t on their radar.
