Jay Bilas – the ESPN College basketball analyst – has long been one of the NCAA’s most vocal critics.
When the NCAA refused to renounce Tennessee OL Cade Mays immediately on Monday, it was no surprise that Bilas had something to say.
As you can see below, Bilas ripped the NCAA for the decision, saying the organization has a chance to remedy the situation with Tennessee’s appeal:
Good grief. With everything we go through, has Cade Mays refused his transfer waiver? The NCAA has the ability, and should do, to correct this injustice on appeal. Mays had no choice but to leave Georgia, and the NCAA knows it. It’s a shame Mays is not a QB … he would be eligible immediately. https://t.co/5AeFiJoG5a

Bilas’ negative reaction has been confirmed by many on social media. Even non-Tennessee fans are stunned by the verdict.
Will the NCAA overturn its own decision on Mays? We will hopefully find out in time, although this is not a guarantee.
