At one in the afternoon, the Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas Regatta will start in the central area of the Vigo estuary, the last act of the cycle of fashion regattas organized by the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, heading to the Puerto Deportivo de Combarro, in the Concello de Poio, in the middle of the Pontevedra estuary.

The meteorological forecast that foresees 10-knot northwesterly winds, indicates that the fleet should begin arriving at Combarro in the early afternoon, and since the Organization has planned more routes for fast boats and a delay of half an hour in departure, everything is planned for a joint arrival of the fleet.
It is also necessary to highlight that the great French judge based in Palma de Mallorca, Ariane Mainemare, is the main official of this Rías Baixas. The gala belongs to a family that lives for sailing… her parents were senior managers of the International Federation and her sister is the director of regattas at the Real Club Náutico de Palma. The Nautical Vigo, whose sailing delegate is the elite sailor Gonzalo Araújo, has bet on quality and wants to improve the cache of the “dean”, yes, without harming its founding philosophy.
Very high level, with boats and skippers of the highest prestige. The Coruña representation was very strong, starting with the “Bionic Alk”, the Baltic 56 winner of Finisterre, as well as with “Alma do Mar” by Nito Enriquez, “Cachete” by Fran Edreira, “Lambaix”, “Salseiro” or the “ Bodegas Benito Santos ”patronized by Jorge Etcheverría, Guillermo Blanco’s“ Atlántico 3D Printing ”… from the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña, Club Náutico de Sada or Club Marítimo La Penela de Cabanas.
