Dovizioso Canceled Signing New Contract, Rossi Reveals Bad Ducati: Okezone Sports

BRNO – Andrea Dovizioso has yet to renew his contract with Mission Winnow Ducati. In fact, the Italian racer ‘s contract at Ducati will only be valid until the completion of the 2020 MotoGP season.

Dovizioso and Ducati both want to continue working together, but the racer demands a salary increase. This in the end made Ducati object.

However, on the other hand, they still need Dovizioso’s services. Because, in the last three seasons, Dovizioso has always appeared as the runner-up of the championship.

Seeing the protracted contract negotiations, Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Valentino Rossi, was not surprised. Because, the racer nicknamed The Doctor had felt the same way.

In the 2011 racing season Rossi joined Ducati from Yamaha. He defended the team based at Borgo Panigale until the end of the 2012 season.

Rossi admitted that it was not an easy matter to negotiate with Ducati. Even so, he hopes that Dovizioso can continue to work together and stay at Ducati.

Rossi sees Dovizioso as a racer capable of conquering the Ducati motorbike, Desmosedici. Dovizioso’s ability has even been proven by being the runner-up in the championship for the last three seasons.

Therefore, Rossi regretted that Duovizioso had to part with Ducati. What’s more, the factory teams Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki already have racer names for next season. This will certainly make it difficult for Dovizioso to find a new team.

“When you look at the past, there is a difficult relationship between the riders and Ducati. When I joined there in 2011 and 2012, it was not easy, “said Rossi, as quoted from Speedweek, Saturday (8/8/2020).

“So, in my opinion, this is the reason Dovi doesn’t want to sign a contract with Ducati. I hope that the two of them can continue racing together because Dovizioso and Ducati can collaborate to become a strong team, “Rossi continued.
