Chicago Bears sign WR Rodney Adams and place DB Artie Burns in injured reserve

The Bears signed wide receiver Rodney Adams on Thursday and placed cornerback Artie Burns in the injured reserve.

Adams was selected by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2017 Draft in South Florida. He appeared in a game as a rookie before being called off on October 30 and returned to the Minnesota practice squad.

Adams signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018, but was placed on the reserve / retiree list on April 9.

Burns, who signed with the Bears in March after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, injured his left knee in practice Monday.
