Bryce Callahan made his presence felt early at Denver Broncos Camp

When the Denver Broncos signed cornerback Bryce Callahan to a three-year, $ 21 million contract in 2019, they were hoping they had an immediate starter. It wasn’t to be when Callahan tried to fight his way past a nagging foot injury that ultimately required a second surgery.

Lost for the whole of 2019, there were many questions about his health leading up to training camp this year. And although Callahan and the Broncos came to an agreement on a contract restructuring earlier this year, there were still huge question marks over his overall health.

After a day, he began to respond by doing plays.

Head coach Vic Fangio liked what he saw of Callahan during his first training at the camp.

“Callahan had a great day today in his first comeback action,” Fangio said. “He actually had a day of previous practice. Again, I haven’t watched all day practice, but he did a few plays today. It’s good to see him move. His foot is fine. He is confident and ready to go.

The Broncos high school was a bit of a question mark with AJ Bouye and a group of untested young players behind him on the roster. With Callahan full out, that will put Denver in a much better position to fill the secondary on game day.

And no, we still don’t have any updated photos of Callahan. Instead of using the same photo again, I chose the team photo.
