BARCELONA – Barcelona chose to refuse to comply with Lionel Messi’s request to hold a meeting. The plan, the meeting will talk about Messi’s future, which has yet to meet certainty.
Previously, Messi had volunteered to leave Camp Nou because of the complicated situation in Barcelona. The Argentine has notified the club of his desire to leave by fax.
However, the situation then heated up which made it difficult for Barcelona and Messi’s management to solve the existing problem. However, according to El Peridico, Saturday (29/8/2020), Messi has been willing to meet the club because he wants to leave Barcelona well.
The 33-year-old has realized that he cannot leave Barcelona for free this summer. However, he also did not want his transfer to be held by Barcelona because of the high price of the release clause of around 700 million euros.

However, Barcelona also doesn’t want Messi to just leave unless the release clause is able to be fulfilled by another club. Even Barcelona also refused to hold talks with their captain about the situation at the moment.
According to Marca, Barcelona is willing to have a meeting with Messi if La Pulga – Messi’s nickname – wants to extend his contract. They will reject any of these meetings unless Messi wants to renew his contract at Camp Nou.
