JUARA.NET – Regarding the 2020 Austrian Moto2 crash on Sunday (16/8/2020), Honda Asia Team Manager, Hiroshi Aoyama has his own views about the performance of Indonesian racer Andi Gilang.

In the middle of a good pace after the free practice session until qualifying, unfortunately the first point was not awarded by Andi Gilang in yesterday’s series.

Not because he lost his skills with other racers, the son of the Bulukumba area had to step aside because he was involved in the 2020 Austrian Moto2 accident involving Enea Bastianini and Hafizh Syahrin.

Trying to avoid the motorbike and Syahrin’s body on the track, Andi Gilang had to comb the grass, until he fell with three other racers.

Although the race then started again, in the end Andi Gilang had to endure disappointment because he could not continue the race.

Seeing this, the manager of Honda Team Asia, Hiroshi Aoyama, admitted that he was also quite disappointed.

In fact, Aoyama feels Andi Gilang’s performance in Moto2 Austria 2020 is very promising, armed with a good start.

“What bad luck because he has made a good start and looks to be competitive,” said Aoyama, quoted by Juara.net from Honda Team Asia.

Even though he finally had to endure disappointment, the most important thing for Aoyama was Andi Gilang’s health condition, which was okay following the horrific 2020 Austrian Moto2 accident.
