‘There’s no way!’ Four-year-old boy sinks a hole in one on West Virginia golf course as his stunned father watches in disbelief

  • Rocco Figaretti beat a share of over 12,000 to one to get a hole on a Friday
  • The four-year-old was playing golf with dad Mario in Oglebay Park, West Virginia
  • Neither Mario nor Rocco could believe he had fired and looked stunned
  • Mario says that Rocco regularly practices his swing in the yard, starting last year

Some golfers spend their entire lives dreaming of hitting a hole in one, but for this boy the dream didn’t take long to materialize as he reached the challenging feat at just four years old.

Little Rocco Figaretti may be cuddly in his years, but his father Mario believes he may have a golf prodigy on his hands after a video he captured Friday at the Oglebay Park golf course in West Virginia.

The cutscene begins with Rocco, dressed in sunglasses and Crocs, preparing to start a par three course with the hole visible at the bottom of a hill in the background.

Before making what would turn out to be an unforgettable swing, Rocco takes off his sunglasses to show that he is serious.

The little master then makes a firm shot at the ball, lifting it off the tee and bouncing it hard in the middle of the fairway.

However, it doesn’t stop there, with the ball bouncing all the way to the green, before dripping to the flag and – beating odds of over 12,000 to one – sinks into the hole.

“You just had a hole in one,” Mario says to his son, the shock evident in his voice.

Rocco then shakes Mario’s head, apparently reluctant to believe what he had just done.

In confirmation, the four-year-old runs down the hill towards the hole. When he gets to the green, he turns back to his father, shrugs and says “Can’t I see him?”

“There is no way,” Mario laughs excitedly, while the beaming father tells Rocco to go get the ball from the hole and take it to the camera.

The affectionate father said that Rocco practices his swing all the time in the backyard, having become interested in the sport when he was three.

“He swings his right hand with a left-handed grip and it works for him, so I don’t think we will change,” Mario Figaretti told ABC3340. “It was really fun to see him develop a love for the game because he really spends a lot of time here throughout the year hitting golf balls.”

Rocco’s family says they are proud of him and really hope he stays true to the sport.
