Zion Williamson Update: Pelicans PF remains on minute against Clippers on Saturday

New Orleans Pelicans PF Zion Williamson will have a minute limit against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, GM David Griffin told reporters on Friday.

Williamson played only 15 minutes in her first game in the bubble on Thursday night in the Pelicans’ loss to Utah Jazz. The Pelicans are now 4.0 games back from the Memphis Grizzlies for number 8 and their chances of reaching the playoffs are rapidly shrinking. New Orleans that Zion is holding back doesn’t make much sense, but obviously its future is of paramount importance.

As for DFS, when we see a price drop for Zion, I actually think it is an OK option. Williamson scored 13 points in 15 minutes against jazz. The Clippers still miss Montrezl Harrell and played mainly against the Lakers against Joakim Noah and JaMychal Green on Thursday. This is a matchup that Zion can take advantage of, even if he only has about 15 minutes to do it.

The line here is -5 in favor of the clippers and the O / U is 226, which seems very high given the results of both teams on Thursday. The Clippers have the defenders to block Brandon Ingram and Jrue Holiday. Zion can get anything he wants, but it won’t be much for the game. The clippers must maintain seed # 2 and should be a little more motivated if they lose. New Orleans could have its last life in the bubble if it fell twice in a row.
