Andy Murray at Wimbledon 2012

Wimbledon has always been a special event for Andy Murray. He comes from the UK and winning a title in front of his people would obviously be very special for him. He wanted to win this title and came close to that in 2012.

However, in 2012, Andy Murray lost the Wimbledon final against Roger Federer in 4 sets. This was excruciating for him because he had been trying to win the title for a long time. As you can see in the video, he was so broken that he cried while delivering his speech. All his fans applauded him as he spoke.

Even though the British star was heartbroken, he didn’t let this loss stop him from trying again. He reached the Wimbledon final the following year, but this time he won the final. The video showed this victory with Murray who gave a speech as a Wimbledon champion.

Wimbledon 2013: Andy Murray's victory makes him a favorite to repeat at ...

2012-13 reminds us all of a time when Andy Murray was actively participating in the Tour. This is something we haven’t seen in recent years since the British star has struggled with injuries since 2017. He was on his way back before the pandemic of coronavirus stopped all tennis.

Murray is definitely training hard to win some Grand Slams like he did in 2012-13 and will be able to do so at this year’s US Open. He has not confirmed his participation in the event but will hopefully do so. And hopefully, he will win the title.
