*TO UPDATE*
Davey Grant had a violent start for UFC 251 on Fight Island on Sunday when he turned off Martin Day’s light with a perfect left hook.
With the bantamweight struggle in balance, Grant avoided hearing from the judges as he crashed Day onto the canvas. a walk-off knockout.
As if that wasn’t enough, Grant, who only secured the second KO / TKO win of his 16-man MMA career, also revealed that he had broken his jaw at the start of the fight.

That was a malicious KO by Davey Grant. My word.

We made it.
UFC 251 on Fight Island is here and there are three title fights waiting on top of a stacked card.
After Gilbert Burns was forced to pull out of the main event, we’ll see the welterweight world champion put his belt against Jorge Masvidal on the line instead.
It’s a fight that’s more exciting for most than the first headliner, Masvidal, who gets his first shot at the 170-pound belt six days in advance.
At the co-main event on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the Australian Alexander Volkanovski will defend his 145-pound belt against the man from whom he took it in December, Max Holloway, for the first time.
Before that Petr Yan and Jose Aldo fight for the vacant bantamweight title.
Also on the main card are two former champions when Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas return to the cage while Amanda Ribas faces Paige VanZant.
