The Red Sox have announced that left-handed pitchers Darwinzon Hernandez and Josh Taylor both tested positive for COVID-19, Ian Browne of MLB.com was one of the rapporteurs. Taylor’s positive test came while recording at the Red Sox Camp while Hernandez stayed at home. Both players are quarantined and cannot return to the team until they have tested negative twice.
Obviously, both players gave the team permission to reveal their identity as the players who had received positive test results. Boston skipper Ron Roenicke would not say if Taylor and Hernandez showed symptoms that could change their timeline when they returned to the diamond.

Both Hernandez and Taylor play an important role in the Boston Bullpen this year, and there’s a significant chance the Sox will have to start the season without them.
