Liverpool Eye Raul Jimenez

Transfer expert Duncan Castles believes that Jurgen Klopp and FSG can juxtapose the signing of Wolves’ forward Raul Jimenez.

He said on the Transfer Window podcast: “I see why there would be interest from Liverpool and from the player because of the brig who performed for the wolves.

“There is a lot of competition there, it is the first choice for Juventus if they manage to unload Gonzalo Higuain in the current market rhythm and increase sufficient revenues from transfers.

“One of the players who are looking to sell and sell in England is Douglas Costa.

“Being able to get Jimenez from the wolves, and they want to put him in an attack alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala that would be fun to look at with certainty and frightening to defend against.

“This is not going to be an economic affair, Wolves paid a lot of money for Raul Jimenez to take him from Benfica. There he was paid an excellent salary.

“They know its value, they are a difficult club to buy players from and I am not sure whether the Fenway Sports Group is ready to support Klopp in the way that would be financially necessary to get Jiminez from the Wolves.

“Although there is an interest, an unsustainable interest, it will be an interesting test of how much support Klopp will be ready to provide next season to defend that title in the Premier League.”

Adam Lallana has entered into a three-year contract with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The agreement with Arsenal has been closed

“It’s the money, it’s that simple. The amount of money spent on him in terms of what he delivered and what you can actually see.

“Many people talk about Thierry Henry’s first season at Arsenal and it didn’t go straight for him.

“In a way, they rely heavily on this type of signature.

“But I haven’t seen him with this particular player and it seems like a bad deal.”

Thiago Alcantara in Liverpool
