BOLASPORT.COM – The news of the retirement of the world badminton legend from China, Lin Dan, is certainly a great loss for the sport of feather pat.
This is inseparable from the achievements of Lin Dan in his 20 years of career as a badminton athlete.
In addition to being the world’s number one men’s singles player, Lin Dan also won world titles, Olympic gold medals, the Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, and a number of championship titles in prestigious international tournaments including the All England Open and China Open.
So naturally if in the end the figure born in Fujian, China, 36 years ago, earned the nickname Super Dan.

Throughout his career, Lin Dan’s competition was dominated by Taufik Hidayat (Indonesia), Peter Gade (Denmark), and Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia).
Together, they were dubbed the Fantastic Four.
However, after Gade retired in 2012 and Taufik hung his racket in 2014, rival Lin Dan was only left in Lee Chong Wei.
Until finally Lee Chong Wei also decided to end his badminton career last year because of health problems.
Now, after having no more contemporaries, Lin Dan said goodbye from the badminton stage.
