The signatures of the new Hugill and Pye academy represented the team as Manchester United returned to the United States

Manchester United’s under-18 team returned to Carrington today, following an under-23 lead at the end of last week.

Among the players involved were two new faces, double purchases of Sunderland Joe Hugill and Logan Pye.

Hugill is a center forward who has already played football under 23 and Pye a left back who represented England at a youthful level.

Two young forward strikers, Dillon Hoogewerf and Mateo Mejia, joined Hugill, added in 2019 from Holland and Spain.

Both expressed how happy they were to return to training.

The young star Hannibal Mejbri was also among the return players, in particular still with the under 18 despite the presence of the under 23 of last season.

United will not push the seventeen year old too early and will want the midfielder to prove his worth once more before promoting him once again.

There is still no date for the resumption of the academic season, but United clearly wants to bring the players together and train, after months of individual work and in small groups.

Both mentally and physically it will have been a trial period for young players, while for the two new purchases, this is the beginning of a lifelong dream.

We hope for another promising academic season and another year of revolutionary stars.
