Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the “French open” was postponed and will start on September 27. The tournament was originally scheduled to start on May 25th.

“The French Tennis Federation (FFT) continues to adapt to the coronavirus situation. A protocol has been put in place to protect fans during this historic Roland Garros,” the organizers said in a statement.

The first tickets will go on sale on July 16, but in general it is planned to let 50-60% of the possible number of fans into the stands. Thus, the organizers will observe social distancing so as not to risk unnecessarily in a situation where the spread of Covid-19 has not been stopped.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, top-level tennis competitions are currently suspended. The ATP and WTA tournaments will resume in August. At the end of the season, it is planned to hold three “Masters” series tournaments (for women “Premier”), as well as two “Grand Slam” tournaments – the US Open and the French Open.
