BETHLEHEM, PA. – The annual Musikfest golf tournament took place on Monday in Bethlehem.

He is raising money for ArtsQuest, which has been hit hard by the pandemic.

“It will be a nice day here on the golf course,” said Emily Kocis, head of ArtsQuest operations.

The sun was shining and golfers played golf all day at Bethlehem Golf Club. They say it’s a basic event that started 37 years ago.

“We host it every year right now to support Musikfest and to support ArtsQuest and the nonprofit mission … of the arts and culture,” said Kocis.

This year, it was an exhausted crowd with social withdrawal measures in place.

It is a different approach than in previous years, but it is following the example of future events with the organization.

“The money we get here today will continue to invest in things like our virtual Musikfest this year, and we will continue to try to support the programs of the Banana Factory, the fields and so on,” said Kocis.

Musikfest still has 10 days of music, but practically. You will still have the opportunity to grab some of your favorite food on the SteelStacks campus.

The organizers say that it is events like the golf tournament that make people want more, and that they give in return to keep ArtsQuest alive year after year.

“I think it’s a very positive thing that we managed to do this event today, that we were able to enjoy the outdoors and be here and I think we are moving in the right direction to be able to do things,” he said. Kocsis.

They say they are doing everything they can to bring everything they want in terms of entertainment to the community.

Musikfest 2020 is scheduled for July 31-August. 9.
